2025 IIHF Championship Program: Officiating Assignments

Every season, the IIHF analyses the list of nominated on-ice game officials by reviewing national recommendations and past performance at IIHF events to map out their future potential. Game officials are then matched to an appropriate IIHF event and provided the opportunity to showcase their talents and show why they belong to the elite international community.

National Integrity Manager Appointment

Ice Hockey Australia is pleased to announce that Catherine Arlove will join IHA in the newly created role of National Integrity Manager (NIM), effective 14 October 2024. This 2 year role will be shared with Curling Australia, and made possible through the National Integrity Capability Enhancement (NICE) Program grant provided by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), supporting the enhancement of integrity capability across Australian sports.

NZ and Australia Ice Hockey Historic Shift to Americas Region

The New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation and Ice Hockey Australia are proud to announce a historic change in their regional affiliation with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Following a vote by the IIHF Council and Member National Associations at the 2024 Semi-Annual Congress, both New Zealand and Australia’s bid to transfer from the Asia region to the Americas region has been successfully approved.

AWIHL GAMES 32 & 34 ADELAIDE RUSH VS MELBOURNE ICE

On Saturday 10 February 2024, game 32 of the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League, (AWIHL) was held between Adelaide Rush and Melbourne Ice at the Adelaide Ice Arena, South Australia. During the game, which began at 4:45pm local time, many players from the Melbourne Ice and Rush teams became unwell. Players from both teams were taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital showing symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.
