IIHF announce host for the Men’s 2025 World Championships (Div IIA)
Melbourne, Australia – The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) yesterday announced that that the Men’s 2025 World Championships (DIV IIA) will be hosted in Belgrade, Serbia.
The IIHF has shared it’s thanks to Serbia for hosting and indicated that the priority at present is to ensure that tournaments are held in a way that respects the safety and security of the ice hockey community and members of the public. Ice Hockey Australia (IHA), together with the IIHF, are looking forward to the tournament and witnessing the best players from the Netherlands, Belgium, Serbia, Israel and the UAE – all competing for the coveted Division IIA title.
IHA and the 2025 Men’s World Championships Melbourne Event Committee welcome this announcement; General Manager Adam Woolnough confirming, ‘Whilst this has been a challenging time for everyone in the sport, our elite team and officials are looking forward to the opportunity to play on the world stage in Belgrade. IHA look forward to hosting the event in future years and rolling out the meticulous plans that were formulated’.
