EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – EQUIPMENT MANAGER – World Men U18 (WMU18) National Team, IIHF World Championships – Sofia, Bulgaria, 2023
Expressions of Interest are being called for the role of Equipment Manager, to manage team equipment responsibilities for the upcoming International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships.
Duties include:
Liaise with the Team Manager, Head Coach and IHA Office to manage:
- All equipment assessment, transportation, and maintenance in the lead-up and during the World Championships
- Return of all equipment safely to O’Brien Icehouse, Melbourne, following completion of tour
- Manage team equipment communications with Team Manager, coaching staff, and players
- Manage logistics of all equipment for duration of World Championships
- Adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols and recommendations
- Adhere to IHA Code of Conduct
- Other off-ice responsibilities as required
Proposed Dates (schedule tbc):
- 20th March (tbc) – team departs Australia for pre-competition camp in Sofia, Bulgaria
- 27th March – 2nd April – Division II Group B World Championships
- 3rd April – team departs Sofia for Australia
If you have experience in Ice Hockey Team Equipment Management, relevant transferable skills, and/or international travel experience, we would love to hear from you!

- Relevant skills you possess that would contribute to the team and staff, and/or leadership capabilities
- Confirmation of a Working with Children Check (or State equivalent) or willingness to get one
- Willingness to adhere to relevant Covid-19 vaccination requirements for international travel
- Two referees with relevant contact details
