Be Part of History: EOI Open for 2025 IIHF Men’s World Championships in Melbourne!

Ice Hockey Australia is thrilled to announce that expressions of interest (EOI) are now open for the National Men's Team to compete at the 2025 IIHF Men’s Division IIA World Championships—on home ice in Melbourne! This marks the first time since 2011 that Australia will host the prestigious tournament, where our National Team famously clinched Division II Gold.

In April 2025, we will have the opportunity to etch a new chapter into the history books of ice hockey in Australia. The rush of skating out onto the ice to represent Australia in front of a packed O’Brien Icehouse full of roaring fans—family, friends, and hockey enthusiasts all cheering on – will sure be a career defining moment. The atmosphere will be electric, and for the team, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There’s nothing quite like playing a Worlds at home, with the entire country behind you.

If you have the skill, passion, and dedication, this is your chance to join the team and compete at the highest level—against the toughest opponents possible. This is more than just a tournament. It’s an opportunity to represent Australia on the global stage at home and inspire the next generation of ice hockey players.

Submit your EOI today and be part of the next chapter of Australian ice hockey. The roar of the home crowd awaits you!

Register your EOI now and get ready to make history!
