AUSTRALIAN WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE (AWIHL) COMMISSIONER ANNOUNCEMENT
Published Thu 03 Nov 2022
Ice Hockey Australia and the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League is pleased to announce that Michaela Fellowes has been appointed AWIHL Commissioner for the next two seasons.
The AWIHL would like to extend its thanks and appreciation for Melissa Rulli, who previously held the position before stepping down. We would also like to acknowledge the work of Kylie Taylor, who handled commissioner duties in an interim capacity.
Michaela Fellowes comes from a strong managerial background and has excellent leadership and organisational skills, along with a reputation for getting things done.
Over the last decade, Michaela has been involved with ice hockey at a club level, including serving as Team Manager and Club President of AWIHL club Perth Inferno.
She also has experience at a governance level, serving as Association Secretary, Communication and Governance Director, Social Media Manager, and Women’s Team Manager for Ice Hockey Western Australia (IHWA).
“I’m excited for the challenge of the next two seasons,” Michaela said. “The quality of players that we have coming through is exceptional, and I’m looking forward to seeing the quality of play continue to grow in the AWIHL and at a national level.”
